Georgetown is in a Mid-Atlantic and Notre Dame is in a East North Central - sometimes off campus meals and housing costs can dramatically vary between schools. However, each college is looking to fill its incoming class with a variety of students with different strengths, backgrounds, etc.
Therefore, the acceptance rate alone is not a good indicator that Georgetown University is a better school or will be more difficult for you specifically to get into. Both colleges provide on-campus living options. Most importantly, though, check out the video below for a sample of dorm tours at each school. The Notre Dame campus is located in Notre Dame, IN and is characterized as Suburb: Large outside principal city, in urbanized area with population of , or more. After all, college should prepare you for a career!
Georgetown University vs. What are your chances at Georgetown? Every thing you have written indicates that you would be a much better fit for ND, and that you may be happier there. It does not appear to be an accurate ranking. Funny thing is that my H chose between these two schools many years ago. IMO they are peer institutions. Two very reasonable people could make different choices and neither would be right or wrong.
Pick the school that resonates with you more and most importantly once you make a decision never look back! All Rights Reserved.

In one of the weakest points of his argument, Deresiewicz provides no evidence to support this vague and ludicrous claim. As of , about a third of graduates went into financing or consulting at a number of top schools, including Harvard, Princeton, and Cornell. First, many top graduates are actually choosing paths unrelated to finance , opting instead for jobs in tech or at startups that value intelligent creativity as much as profitability. Wall Street firms are struggling to recruit the top young minds.
Second, very few will stay in finance or consulting for more than five or so years. Firms know this, and thus they structure analyst programs expecting high attrition rates.
