Singularity who should i kill

Food Box Vis profil Vis innlegg. I honestly think the game could have just ended where you go back in time and shoot Demichev instead of yourself in the building. Sure you'd change time but it seems like everything else does anyway. I actually tried this out in the game and unfortunately just lost. Opprinnelig skrevet av Food Box! You want a real flaw in the internal logic of this game's plot? The very first note you find says that with Demichev dead, Moscow pulled the plug on the project as too dangerous, presumably as a way of explaining why the USSR didn't steamroll the West in spite of the E And with Renko dead, he could have no later interaction with Barisov to potentially change this.

Yet still in the "good ending" Demichev's death mysteriously leads to Barisov having conquered the World, as if he had been allowed to continue the research after the fire. EDIT: Thinking about it more, it goes even deeper. The statues of Demichev in the alternate timeline proves that the fire took place long before the actual singularity event which messed up the island. Long enough for the guy to replace Stalin and erect statues of himself on Katorga.

It took time. But back in "our" timeline the project was shut down after the fire, meaning the singularity event should never have been reached at all. Indeed this is why there is a pillar of energy shooting into the air in the alternate timeline, but nothing at the beginning of the game.

But without the event, where did the original rift come from that allowed Renko to save Demichev? There shouldn't have been any event to trigger it.

Killing yourself, as Demichev stated did nothing. To be honest, I think the best ending would be killing bothBarisov and Demichev. Unfortunately, the game has many plot holes thanks to time travel Log In Sign Up. Keep me logged in on this device Forgot your username or password?

Boards Singularity Killing option in the end , Spoiler. User Info: Mahuri. Somethings I noticed for that ending: -First the most obvious there is a statue of Barisov now instead of a sickle probably to honor Barisov's technological advances for the USSR , -Devlin refers to you as "comrade" -The huey helicopters have the famous hammer and sickle on them -Your team's callsign goes from "spartan" to "hammer" in the ending, -Your CO's callsign goes from "Titan" to "Red Fleet", -Red Fleet says that you are now entering "Katorga airspace" instead of "Russian airspace" like in the original intro.

So I think that killing yourself somehow prevents the mysterious explosion from making Katorga the wasteland it should have been, this prevents the Russian government from wiping Katorga off the map. But then I'm not sure how the first explosion happened. Also how did Kathryn end up in and what exactly is MIR? As much as my friend Josh enjoyed razzing me that Barisov ended up taking over the world, since he thought killing Barisov and becoming Demichev's lapdog was the best idea Who knows if Barisov was able to live up to a good ideal, but it's at least an option that doesn't directly mention genocide and monsters released into the world.

When I saw Kathryn come back to life in , I was hoping that what they were doing was setting a sequel hook. Kathryn's Roaring Rampage of Revenge against Barisov.

Just finished the game about 20 minutes ago, brilliant game in my opinion. The three endings were also suitably interesting and fitting to the choices you make to 'unlock' them. I personally enjoyed the 'neutral' ending since it kind of left the question of where Renko's moral compass points now that he's in control of the TMD. The 'good' ending seems to imply Barisov continued to use the TMD and his other work with E99 to benefit the Soviet Union who in turn use these advantages over the West to increase their influence around the world.

As for Kathryn's ending I was glad to see they cleared up the fact she is the founder of MIR having been transported back to and leaving messages for Renko. Overall I loved this game, they put everything together so well and I just hope it sells well enough for Activision to green light a sequel.

Definitely one of the finer new IPs released this year! I enjoyed it well enough to not regret the free rental. It was linear and it's novelty wore thin quickly. I didn't even think to kill both guys to get the third ending, so maybe that's why I'm so "meh" about it. Upon reflection I'm pretty sure Kathryn is the anomaly as no matter which ending you choose none of them reset the time line to it's proper state but in all of them she still gets transported back to and writes the Mir journal which is the book shown to you upon the first time you meet her early in the game.
